Karen and Austin were married last weekend so I can finally put her bridal portraits up. They were up for only a few days before, but Karen wanted her dress to be a surprise and wanted to make sure Austin didn't catch a glimpse. She looked stunning, and the antique broach on her dress carried through her wedding day theme.

I just got back from photographing some friends of mine. Shane and Jess are expecting a baby boy in a couple of weeks and are going to be great parents. Jess and I share the same passion for coupon clipping (laugh if you must, but we save lots of money). Pinehurst...the land of a thousand golf courses. I had a great time shooting Brian and Jenna's wedding last weekend at the Little River Country Club. This couple was a blast to hang out with, and even though Jenna was concerned about being nervous on her wedding day she was very relaxed and the day was perfect. Shawn and Molly were married on June 6th in Mooresville, NC. I know that was almost a month ago...but better late than never. They are such a sweet couple and Molly's sisters warned me before the wedding started that they were criers...it was really sweet to see the love this family had for each other.

This was the six pence her mother wore in her shoe on her wedding day...

I absolutely loved shooting Adam and April's wedding. There were so many amazing details to capture....they had the most wonderful little mini cakes for each of their guest and an elaborate candy bar. There was so much love between these two that it brought everyone to tears, and I have to say that I even cried when they exchanged their vows. This wedding was especially fun for me because it was close to home...ah the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Enjoy!

Ah...How time flies. It's hard to believe Ava is 5 months old now...and from the looks of things, she had no trouble catching up to the rest of the babies. I am so Grateful for her, and feel so lucky every day that God decided to give her to Me :). Thankfully she has been sleeping through the night for a couple of months..it's funny, when you first bring them home and they are waking up every three hours it seems like the day will never arrive...but thankfully it always does. Here is a tribute to the beautiful chubbiness.

Well, it may take a month or so, but I am slowing making the shift to a "blogsite". It seems like it will be much easier to only have to update one page. A shopping cart will also be integrated on the new blogsite so you can purchase your images all from the same place....very exciting times :)

Ava decided that she wanted to come on Christmas morning, and since she was 6 weeks early we are still in the hospital waiting to take her home. Tim and Esther's wedding was near Charlotte, NC on a very unusually cold day in October. She had a great idea to create a chandelier out of lanterns under the arbor where she said her vows, and it turned out beautiful. They ceremony was so sweet and serene overlooking the lake. Hello everyone! I have not fallen off the face of the planet in case you were wondering :). We have been super busy with weddings, buying a house, and all that comes with being pregnant. Josh and Jess were married in beautiful Southport, NC. I loved the feel of this town! Everything was very old, Antique shops on every corner, and the beach at your finger tips. Josh and Jess were such a great couple to be around all day, and had a beautiful wedding ceremony overlooking the ocean. Mike and I had a great time hanging out with them.

Courtney and Stuart are two of the most precious people in the world. They both have amazing hearts and love each other so much. Their wedding was at the Daniel Boone Gardens in Boone, NC. Courtney is a good friend of mine and one of the most genuine people I know. We did her bridals back in June, but she wanted to keep her beautiful dress a secret until the ceremony. OK. Time to play catch up here. I shot Katherine and Marks wedding in mid-June, and I know that is over a month ago...which tells you that I have have been terrible at keeping up with things. I shot this wedding for Kristin and Aaron Byrum (2 of the greatest people in the world) and had such a great time. Vacation

Ah, vacation is so wonderful! Mike and I went to California last week and spent a couple days right on the water...it was so beautiful. We stayed at the Crystal Cove Beach Cottages. These cottages were built in the 1940's and have been restored, it was like staying in a community back in time carved right into an oceanside cliff. Here are some of the highlights.

I have had the privilage of hearing parts of this project, and I know it is going to be amazing. Project Easter Egg

Today we dyed Easter eggs...let me just say that I don't think you ever get too old for this project. Although there were many busted Easter eggs by the end of the hour, Whitney and David had so much fun.

My friend Sarah always has the best ideas. We put stickers on the eggs before we dyed them, and they turned out awesome.
